With all the wonderful feedback I've received on the poems I have been hard at work trying to create some more but it has been difficult to find a subject i like and one that i feel hasn't been over done. One day I was listening to Coldplay's "The Scientist" and thought it was a great idea to apply the scientific approach to intuitive, intangible thoughts and feelings like love and adoration. That inspired me to take that idea further and add my own twists to it. But of course Love and emotions really can't be quantified by even the most sensitive of devices, only our hearts can do that. Anyone who tried will fail miserably I'm sure. I am still working on this some but I am happy enough where it is now to post it for your enjoyment.
Once again a huge thanks to all of you that come visit and read my works and thank you again for all your comments and encouragements. I am forever grateful,
Thank you!

Where Does the Light Go ?
They say the light of the stars shining here
Has been shining for many a billion year
And that made me wonder and contemplate
As I watched their light twinkle and radiate
If the same was true
Of the light reflected by you
Would a warm fireside glow
Continue to flow
After its lit your face just so
Showing your sweet wry smile
That makes me melt inside for a while
And gaze adoringly at the light of you
I love the thought
That the universe could be wrought
With the twinkling reflection
Of your beautiful complexion
A never ending salute
Until time is forever moot
Where does the light go
With all its warm glow
And every nuance reflected off your face
On its way through never ending space
Does it keep on going
Forever flowing, always showing
Your beauty, your wisdom and grace
I tried to reason and to measure
To quantify this theory at leisure
With the powers of science and math
Numbers and formulas on a graph
Endless calculations
Infinite permutations
Pencils, erasers, slide rules and more
All to understand this love at its core
But how do you measure
Something you treasure
Or find the source of this force
How do you predict its course
When bodies attract
There is no going back
Neither will be the same as before
But become something grander something more
At last I give up divining
All I've been pining
There are no secrets to find
This love is more than a chemical bind
Its science on a level we can't fathom
Deep in the physics of quantum
Its complex beauty perceived as magic
As love often defies all logic
Yet I still sit and contemplate
The whirlpools of time and fate
I look in awe and wonder
Feel the storms and the thunder
Grateful our paths now entwine
A love we have so sublime
Still I would like to know
Where does that light go
And if there is a way or place
Where I can forever see your face
Drift with you through time and space
A beacon through the vast darkness
A love shining with its brightness
Perhaps that is the twinkling of the stars we see
Loves light shining from the likes of you and me
When I look skyward in the evening
It's always of you that I'm dreaming
Anytime I need to smile
I think of you for a while
And it warms me to my core
To know we are something more
Way beyond common sight
More than just particles, energy and light
Where does the light go?
I do not pretend to know
But I can emphatically say
That I love you more and more
every day
